Lawn Care Jobs in Monroe, LA — Join the College Bros Crew

We hire ULM students and local crew members for our mowing, landscaping, and washing crews. Work that flexes around your class schedule, with training provided and room to grow into crew lead.

College Bros Outdoor Services is a student-run company in the most literal sense: founder Connor Pauley started it while studying at ULM with one mower, and it has grown into Northeast Louisiana's most-reviewed student-run outdoor services company — more than 5,000 completed jobs and a 4.8 rating across 48 Google reviews. Keeping that going takes good people, which is why we hire ULM students and local crew members year-round in Monroe, West Monroe, and the surrounding communities.

What the Job Is

Crew members work on one of three crews. Mowing crews run lawn care routes — mow, trim, and blow on every visit, with edging and weed control on premium routes. Landscaping crews handle landscaping work like bed cleanups, mulch and pine straw installs, hedge trimming, and leaf and debris blowouts. Washing crews handle pressure washing and soft washing jobs. Whichever crew you join, you are trained to one standard through the company ops handbook, starting with equipment and safety, so the work looks the same on your first route as it does on your fiftieth.

What We Expect

The bar is simple and we hold it: be reliable, show up when the crew is counting on you, and take pride in how the property looks when you pull away. Those three things built this company, and they are what we hire for — the skills themselves are taught. We do not publish pay rates; pay is discussed at your interview along with your availability and which crew fits you best. Want to know more about who you would be working for first? Read our story.

What Makes This a Good Job

Flexible Around Class Schedules

College Bros was founded by a ULM student, so working around classes is built into how crews operate. Bring your class schedule to the interview and we will talk through what fits.

Outdoor Work, Not a Desk

You spend the day outside on real properties across the Monroe area — mowing routes, landscape projects, and washing jobs — instead of clocking hours under fluorescent lights.

Real Responsibility

Crews serve real customers whose reviews built this company. From early on, the quality of your work directly matters — and you can see the result at the end of every job.

Training Provided

No experience required. Every crew member trains through the company ops handbook, which covers equipment, safety, and how each service is done to the College Bros standard.

Room to Grow Into Crew Lead

Crew members who prove reliable and take ownership of the work can grow into running a crew of their own. The people leading crews today started where you would.

A Student-Run Company That Gets It

Exams, breaks, and shifting semester schedules are normal here, not a problem to apologize for. You work with people who are juggling the same things you are.

Crew Job Questions, Answered

Do I need lawn care experience to get hired?

No. College Bros trains every crew member through the company ops handbook, which covers equipment, safety, and how each service — mowing, landscaping, and washing — is done to the College Bros standard. What we hire for is reliability, showing up, and taking pride in the work. The skills are taught; the work ethic is on you.

Can the job work around my class schedule?

Yes. College Bros is a student-run company founded by a ULM student, so flexibility around classes is built into how crews are scheduled — exams and semester changes are normal here, not an inconvenience. Bring your class schedule and availability to the interview and we will talk through honestly what does and does not fit.

What does a College Bros crew job pay?

Pay is discussed at the interview. College Bros does not publish pay rates, so we will not quote a number here that we have not put in writing. Reach out, tell us your availability, and we will cover pay, scheduling, and crew details directly and honestly before you commit to anything.

Do I have to be a ULM student to join a crew?

No. College Bros hires both ULM students and local crew members from the Monroe area. The company is student-run — it was founded by a ULM student and that hustle still defines it — but crews include local members too. If you are reliable and want outdoor work, you are who we are looking for.

Is equipment provided, or do I need my own?

You work with the crew's equipment — you do not need to bring your own mower, trimmer, or trailer. Equipment and safety training comes first for every new crew member; it is where the company ops handbook starts, before you ever run a route.

How do I apply for a job at College Bros?

Two ways, both fast: email connorpauley@collegebrosllc.com with your name and phone number, or text the word CREW to (318) 600-9123. We respond the same day to set up a quick interview where we cover your availability, which crew fits, and pay.
